I hope that this email finds you and your family safe and well as we all look forward to the full re-opening of our states and the resumption of our business and leisure activities. At this time, we want to give you an update on the status of the 2020 Transworld Escape Room Summit currently scheduled to take place on August 7th – 9th, 2020, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
Earlier this month, under a Five Phase Plan for re-opening the State of Illinois, the Governor banned mass gatherings until either an effective treatment or a vaccine to combat COVID-19 has been developed. Illinois’ guidelines make it unlikely that conventions will resume here this summer. We are saddened to announce that at the current time the Room Escape Summit will be postponed until next year (2021 dates will be announced once they are confirmed). The health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and staff are of the utmost importance to us.
We realize this email may be reaching some of you at a critical time. We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the Room Escape and Interactive Entertainment industries. Many of you are navigating uncharted phases of your businesses that no one could have anticipated. We are dedicated to assisting, supporting and serving your industries in any way we can.
